The Principle of LEEB Hardness Testing

The LEEB Hardness tester adapts the LEEB Hardness principle. The impact body inside the instrument impacts into the workpiece and rebound back at the 1mm height from the workpiece.Then the LEEB hardness values will be calculated as the following formula:

1. User-oriented Designation & Display readings

◆LM100:The product is equipped with rubber protective housing and bracket, which can adapt to various actual measurement environments.
             Large value display mode and backlight mode make the reading clearer.

◆LM500: Support 3 view modes: Large-font, multi-standard (simultaneous HL/HRC/HV), and trend-curve for uniformity analysis.

◆LM330: Pen-type designation can achieve one-hand operation. The 4 control keys simplified the parament settings.

2.Large Storation and Intelligent Data Management

• LM series can store at least 100 groups of data(LM100), each of group includes the several times of impact and average values.
• LM 500 Hardness Tester supports alarm setting, when the tested value reaches the upper/lower limit, the display readings will be highlighted in red.
• USB or Lmview software can be used for data trasmission, storage or printing.

3.Easy Calibration and Maintenance

Equipment calibration using a test block compensates for probe wear.
Easy cleaning of impact tubes including nylon brushes.

 

Types Of Impact Device For LEEB Hardness Testers

D Type:General purpose and suitable for most hardness measurements with a wide measuring range. This type pf probe can be applied for most situations.

C Type: Specially used for small and light parts, or surface hardening layer.

DC Type:For confinced spaces like holes,cylinders or inside of assembled machines.

G Type:For heavy coarse grained castings and forgings.

DL Type: For long and narrow grooves or holes.
