YUSHI CM Series Coating Thickness Gauges represent the high level of micron-level coating thickness solutions are launched. These coating thickness meters are the high-precision instruments that adapt 2 precise and professional principles to handle with the high-precision manufacture industries' requirements.The applications of YUSHI CM series are multiple. There are two product lines in the CM series: basic CM10 series and metal-housing CM30 series. The both 2 lines apply the magnetic and electric current measurement principles.
What are the measuring principles of CM Series?
- Magnetic induction (Fe principle):
This method is used to measure non-magnetic coatings (e.g., paints, powder coatings, plastics, zinc, chromium) on ferromagnetic substrates such as steel and iron. The gauge measures the magnetic flux between the probe and the base material to determine the coating thickness.
- Electric Current(NFe principle):
The technique measures non conducting coatings (e.g., anodizing, oxide films, paints, plastics) on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and stainless steel. The instrument creates an alternating magnetic field that induces vortices in the substrate, and the thickness of the coating is derived from the interaction between the probe and the substrate.
